Welcome to Bhutan, Please Enjoy our Wonderful Accommodations!

Picture
As part of our all inclusive package, we provide all overnight lodging in three star hotels. This is rated on the same star system as in the United States or other Western countries, so you can expect hot running water and beds both clean and comfortable.

Individuals within groups are housed in their own separate rooms. We also accommodate couples or families wishing to share a room.

Obviously trekking is an exception!

What's Involved in Planning Arline Travel to Bhutan?

Picturewww.bhutanpheonix.com

Almost always, you will have to transit through an outlying country to get into Bhutan. This may include Katmandu Nepal, Kolkata India, Bangkok Thailand, or any other countries that Druk Air or Tashi Air currently offer flights into. We usually suggest transiting through Bangkok via Druk Air for passengers arriving from Western countries. NOTE: Due to current political instabilities in Bangkok Druk Air is now offering Singapore as an option for transit.

Plan your air ticket so that you will be in your respective transit city the night before your Druk Air flight departs, which will usually be around 6 AM local time. For example, if your Druk Air flight departed on the 20th, we would recommend you to stay overnight in Bangkok on the 19th or simply stay in the transit section of the airport (please arrange in advance with Druk Air to have your baggage transferred if you plan to do this). Depending on where your origin is your flight may take 1-2 days so please check your flight itinerary carefully.

Flights returning from Paro to Bangkok typically land in the early evening. Be sure that you have enough time to transit to your other international flights or stay the night in Bangkok again. Depending on how many time zones you are crossing it is possible to gain or lose a day. Again please check your flight itineraries carefully and be sure you have made the proper arrangements for getting home once you have returned.

Though obviously subject to change, if you book your flights at least one month in advance a round trip from the United States to Bangkok is just under 1000 USD. A typical Druk Air ticket may cost around 700 USD round trip from Paro to Bangkok. We may be able to find a lower fare for your Bhutan ticket if you contact us at least one month in advance of your tour reservation. Please note that we will purchase a ticket for the dates YOU specify, so please be sure that you have carefully planned your flights before purchasing your Paro ticket.
